Zebras 14.03.25

Well the children have had a very busy week of learning this week. We have been measuring in Maths using rulers and meter sticks to find things longer and shorter. We have then recorded the length checking carefully that we put the ruler in the correct place and that we write cm after the amount. Maybe you could find some things at home to measure?

In art we have completed our abstract Georgia O'Keeffe inspired paintings and I have to say they look fabulous! The children used some fantastic sketching techniques and then mixed their own powder paints to create the colours they wanted.

In English the children have been very persuading this week. We have been looking at persuasive texts and how we can use language to get people to think or do what we want them to. Next week we are going to be writing a persuasive letter to Mrs Budge asking for a longer playtime :-)
