Friday 14 November 2025 14th November 2025 Another busy week which ended with the children coming to school in their pyjamas to raise money for Children in Need. They have also started in new Read, Write, Inc groups, so many have a new Read, Write Inc lead and they have been joined by some of their friends from Kangaroo and Wallaby classes.

Friday 14 November 2025 Playful Practicing Pandas What a busy week Panda Class have had this week. We began by welcoming a new little boy into our Class this week and we hope he has started to feel settled in his new environment and is beginning to make some lovely new friends. Panda Class are a very friendly bunch and are super at looking out for each other.

Friday 14 November 2025 Another super duper week in Wallaby class Another wonderful week in Wallaby class. This week we celebrated Remembrance Day by learning about what it means and why we celebrate it. We looked at poppies and some of the children enjoyed making their own poppy pictures using a range of different media of their choosing. The week ended with Children In Need which was super fun coming to school in pyjamas. We enjoyed Pudsey bear themed activities, learning about why we celebrate this day and what it means as well as making Pudsey Bear biscuits.

Friday 14 November 2025 Giraffes as Scientists! We started the week by wearing our odd socks to mark the beginning of Anti-Bullying Week. The children really embraced this—there were certainly some incredibly snazzy socks on display! We celebrated our differences and talked about what bullying means, as well as how it differs from simply being unkind.

Sunday 9 November 2025 Honeybee Class Friday 7th November Honeybee Class kicked off the week with a spark as the children immersed themselves in a firework sensory story. They listened to the exciting sounds of fireworks, watched colourful lights flash before them, smelt wood burning, crunched through autumnal leaves, and marvelled at bursts of colour dancing before their eyes.

Friday 7 November 2025 Welcome Back Marvellous Meerkats to Term 2! Welcome back everyone to Term 2, we hope you all had a wonderful half term break. New term and new learning for the marvellous Meerkats; we enjoyed a new story book in English this week and a new history topic! Also, we had two special visitors join us on Wednesday – Mrs Allen and Sonnie. The children excitedly told her all about what we have been learning and what we have been doing in class.

Monday 20 October 2025 Honeybee Class Friday 18th October 25 It has been a wonderful week in Honeybee Class! The key learning focus has been “People Who Help Us.” The children learnt that there are many amazing people who help others every day — including the Fire Service, Police Service, Ambulance Service, as well as Vets, Doctors, Nurses, and many more.

Friday 17 October 2025 End of Term 1! Firstly, thank you to everyone who was able to attend parents evening. It was a pleasure talking to you all! Well done Leopard Class for your first term in Year 1 and 2.

Friday 17 October 2025 17th October 2025 We come to the end of a very successful term and the children are ready for a well deserved break. We concluded the term with a visit from the police, which created much excitement! During the week we also had many superheroes around, showing off their strength and saving the world!

Friday 17 October 2025 Marvellous end to Term 1! And just like that Term 1 was done! The marvellous Meerkats certainly deserve their title as they truly are a marvellous bunch of children. They have gelled so well as a team, worked their socks off every day, shown such kindness to each other whilst enthusiastically jumping into all the learning this term. Well done!

Friday 17 October 2025 Happy half term Wallabies! Happy half term! We made it Wallabies and what a wonderful start to school life you have all had. We are so proud of each and every one of you and hope that you all have a wonderful, well deserved break. This week in phonics we have been learning the sounds v, y, w, z and x. The children have done brilliantly with their letter formation and Fred talk. In maths we have been working on finding amounts, subitising and representing numbers on a 5 frame. We have enjoyed talking about how we have changed since we were babies and what we might want to be when we grow up. We have started thinking about people who help us in our community, ahead of the Little City visit next term and our local area walk. It has been lovely to see the children dressing up as nurses, police and fire fighters and being creative in the construction area building fire stations and railway lines. Friday 17 October 2025 End of term and team work! What a busy last week we have had in Panda Class finishing off our learning and working together as a team. I can't believe how quickly this first term has passed and how well the children have embraced their new learning. You definitely deserve a well earned rest. Well done Panda Class.

Friday 17 October 2025 End of Term! Wow! The end of the first term already. It has flown by and the children have absolutely embraced everything about being in Giraffe Class. They all deserve a rest after the hard work they have put in already.
