Wednesday 8 October 2025 Pandas at Stourhead This week we went to explore Stourhead. We had an amazing time walking through the trees and looking at all the different leaf colours. We had time to collect the leaves, conkers, husks and twigs to then create some of our own Land Art inspired by Andy Goldsworthy. We thought carefully about the pattern and shapes to create and how we could add colour to create a visual impact. We really enjoyed doing this and created some amazing pieces of art.

Friday 3 October 2025 D-I-S-C-O This week our theme has been our body and keeping healthy. We have enjoyed singing songs such as head, shoulders, knees and toes and naming different body parts and a skeleton song called ‘Dem bones'. This led into us making skeleton pictures using cotton buds and black paper. We also enjoyed listening to the story ‘Funny bones' and talking to our partners about what we would do if we were skeletons! Lots of children enjoyed drawing around their bodies on the floor with chalk or on large sheets of paper and naming / labelling the different body parts. We thought about and talked as a class about what we need to do to be healthy and to live a healthy lifestyle. There were lots of great ideas!
