Our Aims

In partnership with parents, develop the whole child physically, spiritually, intellectually and emotionally.

To develop self-awareness and self-esteem and value the child’s achievements.
To enable children to be challenged, to feel confident to take risks in a safe and secure learning environment.

To care for each other and develop a sense of community and collective ownership.
To provide the tools to take the child forward in their learning and to develop their independence.

To see each child as an individual with their own specific needs and style of learning.
To deliver a broad and balanced curriculum which fosters their natural curiosity and promotes enquiry skills. An understanding of British Values will be encouraged within our curriculum.

Ensuring good liaison with other schools, preschools and community agencies for the benefit of children, parents and staff.

Our Mission Statement

To help each child make a successful start to their educational journey through life.

Our Values

Our school values support our vision of our school and are an integral part of our ethos and our curriculum. We regularly discuss what our values mean with the children, and they are praised for showing these values during the school day.

Teamwork means working together with other people to get something done—like being part of a team in a game.
  • Helping each other
  • Sharing ideas
  • Taking turns
  • Being kind and listening
Respect is when you treat other people kindly and think about their feelings, just like you would want them to treat you.
  • Listening when someone is talking
  • Using polite words like “please” and “thank you”
  • Being gentle and not hurting others
  • Letting everyone have a turn
  • Accepting that people can be different from you
Excellence means trying your best and doing something as well as you can. Excellence doesn’t mean being perfect—it means:
  • Putting in effort
  • Not giving up when things are hard
  • Taking pride in what you do
  • Always trying to improve a little bit
Resilience means being able to keep going, even when things are hard or don’t go your way.
  • Trying again when you make a mistake
  • Not giving up when something is difficult
  • Staying positive after a bad day
  • Learning from challenges
Friendship is when two people care about each other and enjoy spending time together.
  • Being kind and helpful
  • Sharing and taking turns
  • Listening to each other
  • Having fun together
  • Being there for someone when they feel happy or sad
