Time and Kenya

Another super week, time is whizzing by!

This week in class we have continued working on our time work. We have used the clock to tell the time to 5 minutes and find durations of time. This is a lovely skill to master, if you are ever passing a clock, ask the children if they can read the time.

We have carried on looking at Kenya as part of our Geography. The children have looked at the National Parks, used the iPads to find facts about the Big 5 (can they remember why they are called that!) and looked at the differences in schools. The children then used some of the provision in the classroom to make their own villages, huts and schools.

Next week, it is the early May bank holiday on Monday and a training day on Tuesday. Children will return to school on Wednesday.

On Friday we are off timetable and children can come to school dressed as Kings and Queens. They will also need their PE kit for a dance workshop. In the afternoon we will be having a street party in the playground. Look out for the pictures!

Mrs Russam will be in class all day on Wednesday and Thursday afternoon. Mrs Watts will be in class the rest of the time. As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to come and see us.
