Sewing Skills
We have continued this week with our learning about the Big Five and we have moved on to our DT topic, making puppets.
For English, we turned into detectives and had some questions to answer. We then used information sheets to help us find the answers.
The children have been looking at different joining techniques and which would be the best ones to use. They then had some strips of binca to practise their running stitch and going up, down, up, down but never around! Next week we will be making our puppets and would appreciate any help. If you are free on TUEDAY 14th MAY at 1.30 we would love to see you. It will be to support the children with their running stitch, threading needles and tying knots. No sewing skills are needed!
In maths we have come to the end of our fraction work and we are now all experts in finding a ½ or ¼. The children are also able to show how they have found answers.
For PE we have continued our athletic skills. We have been throwing and catching, making sure we are in the ready position and using our eyes.
Have a lovely weekend and enjoy the sunshine, now it is finally here!
