Polite Positive Pandas
Welcome back Pandas after a lovely summer break! What a fantastic start Panda Class have made in getting to know each other and making everyone feel very welcome. It has been a very positive start to the year with lots of kindness and thoughtfulness being shown to each other throughout the week. It has been great to hear about some of the wonderful places the children have been to including Spain, Minorca, Cornwall, Bournemouth, Weymouth and Torquay, Wales, Devon and France. The class have enjoyed spending time with cousins and grandparents, friends and parents over the summertime, playing in the garden, going to the park, soft play or watching a film at the cinema.
We have had lots of fun this week finding out some fun facts about Pandas; drawing them, colouring them and using our cutting skills to create a picture of a panda out of paper. We have visited the library and enjoyed sharing stories together; reminded ourselves of counting in groups of 2s 5s and 10s and thought about different ways to make our chosen number. It has been a lovely relaxed week which has hopefully helped the children to feel important, safe and comfortable in our new class. Have a lovely weekend - maybe jumping and splashing in puddles!
