Super Pandas!

This week in Panda Class we have learnt the song 'Algie Met a Bear' as a round.  This means singing at different times which is very difficult.  The year 2 children started off and the year one children had to come in at the correct time.  Here is a little video of our song.

Panda's have also been enjoying gymnastics during their indoor PE lesson.  They have learnt pencil rolls, roly poly's, how to balance in different ways and also how to jump carefully by landing on two feet.  We have also had the gymnastics equipment out as well.

In science, we have been learning about food chains.  The children really enjoyed looking at different food chains to see what animals eat.  We learnt that a 'producer' such as grass is always at the beginning of the food chain.

We were also very lucky to have a visitor in school this week.  Reverend Rebecca came to talk to all the children about kindness which ties in with our RE topic.

Next week, we have a very exciting week as it is our school trip to Westonbirt Arboretum.  This trip ties in perfectly with our science topic and the children will be finding out about different mini beasts and their habitats.  Don't forget the children will need to wear their school jumper/cardigan please.  They will also need to bring a small rucksack with spare clothes, wellies and a waterproof please.

Have a lovely weekend.

Mrs Bayley, Mrs Kerbey and Mrs Airey.
