Honeybees Friday 4th October
What a fantastic week we have had in Honeybee Class!
We kick started the week with the tales of Funnybones by Janet and Alan Ahlberg. The children enjoyed joining in with the repeating parts of the story, predicting what may happen next, making their very own people out playdough and creating portraits of themselves. The children's pictures are really beautiful. They thought carefully about the colours they needed, looked really closely in the mirror to see what eye colour they had and we think we have some budding artists in the making!
In addition to this we learnt this week to sign and sing along to some new songs (links at the bottom of this page). Rhyme Time is a fantastic time in the day where all the children join together. They learn to wait for their turn to choose a rhyme, learn to communicate which song they would like to sing and sign. The children are becoming so confident in these sessions they have been quite reluctant for Rhyme Time to finish.
In PE this week the children were learning to use their coordination skills to pop bubbles and finished their lesson with dancing to a rhythm. They were brilliant at joining in, listening and following instructions. Well done Honeybee Class!

Polite reminder - Please can I ask that reading books and records are in school on a Friday as I like to change the children's books on this day. Also that reading records are in school each day.
