Honeybees - Friday 20th September 2024
We have had a fantastic week in Honeybee Class learning all about our families. The children really enjoyed looking at photographs of their family members, naming them and making their very own family house. In addition to this the children made family members out of playdough and enjoyed using the small world area and role play area to play, 'families.'
This week in Attention Bucket sessions we have moved on to Stage 2. This involves the children focusing for a longer period of time. They have enjoyed watching jumping rice, wiggly worms and splatting flour cups and the smiles and giggles from the children have been wonderful to see. They are becoming really familiar with the routine and enjoy the, 'show.'
In math's this week we have been assessing the children's current knowledge and understanding in all areas. We have had lots of fun learning counting rhymes, counting to a variety of numbers, naming shapes and making them using playdough.
We have been very proud of how well the children have settled into Honeybees Class. They are fantastic at following routines, are beginning to make friends and play alongside each other and our rhyme time is our most favourite time of the day.
Well done Honeybees, have a lovely weekend!
