Hollywood Hopefuls!

The excitement is building for our performances next week.  The children have been working really hard to remember their parts in our  Christmas nativity play and have been practicing their angelic singing too.  Thank you to everyone who remembered to bring in a costume for our dress rehearsal on Thursday. It really helped to prepare the children for their blockbuster debut next week.

We had lots of fun acting in our English lesson this week where we took on the part of the Emperor Penguin, who has the very important job of looking after the egg while the female penguin  goes off to swims and eat for a number of months.  We were thinking about putting instructions in chronological order of how to look after an  egg.  As you can see from the pictures our Hollywood hopefuls, acted out the instructions very clearly.  See if you can spot the actions- Pass the egg from the female to the male penguin; keep it warm and off the ice; huddle together to keep warm; slide down the slippery slopes carefully to protect the egg; keep the chick warm once the egg has hatched; watch and listen for the female penguin returning; pass the chick from the male to the female. Feed the chick with food from the mummy's tummy! and finally go and find some food while the female looks after the chick.

 Have a lovely weekend x
