Friday 6th
Wow! What an amazing first week the children of Wallaby class have had. They have settled in brilliantly and have been such a delight. They have really enjoyed getting to know their new classroom and the new rules and routines. It has been great to see how well they have settled in and they have blown us away with their excellent behaviour and listening skills. Well done Wallaby class.
The children now have their own carpet spots and have been superstar sitters, sitting with their legs and arms folded. They have been working on putting their hand in the air when they would like to share something as well as learning to line up and walk around the school. They enjoy pretending to be little mice 😊
In the classroom they have been very busy in the different areas of learning which include; a maths area, a writing area, an exploration station, a calm corner, a small world and reading area, a construction area, an art area and a role play which is currently a home corner. It has been wonderful to see the children form new friendships and play well with one another. They have enjoyed listening to different stories and joining in with counting games. To help build on their listening and attention, we have played games such as bug in a rug and match the instrument sounds. They have enjoyed joining in with wake and shake dances in the morning tidying up to our class tidy up song!
The children have adapted brilliantly to lunch time, well done everyone. It can always be daunting at first but they have done a marvellous job at sitting and eating with their new friends.
We are so proud of each and every one of you and we look forward to another fun packed week with you all next week. Have a fabulous weekend everyone 😊
