Friday 20th September
What a lovely week we've had in Bumblebees!
In English, we have continued to look at the story 'Can I build another me?' We have talked about the different things that our bodies can do and have written sentences about these. Then we had to use our sense of smell and touch to say what we liked and disliked.
In PE we explored different ways of running. We tried running with our arms by our sides, then with our arms our straight out in front of us (which was really hard) and then with 'Sonic' arms. We found that using Sonic running was by far the easiest.
In art, we have been busy making our own clay busts like Augusta Savage. It was quite tricky adding all of the different facial features but we were resilient and we all managed to make our own busts in the end.
In maths, we have been looking at 'teen' numbers and finding one more and one less than numbers up to 20. We have used different apparatus to help us and have drawn representations of these in our books.
Next Wednesday is our school trip to the Holburne Museum in Bath. The children need to wear school uniform and comfortable shoes, bring a waterproof coat and a backpack to carry their lunch. We will leave during school time and return before the end of the day.
