Colour run fun!

We have had another fantastic week in Zebra Class! Today the children looked amazing in their colourful clothes and really enjoyed our colour run on the Trim Trail.

In Maths this week, we have been finding the mass of different objects using the balance scales. We used cubes and grams to investigate weight.

In English, we have been writing fact files about the Great Fire of London, using the first person tense (I). The children have thought of some fantastic sentences and we have been really impressed with their letter formation.

In our topic sessions, we have been learning more about the Great Fire of London, where it started, how and when. We acted like historians, examining sources of evidence from the past to give us information about this famous historical event.

In PE, we started using rackets and soft balls. We practised controlling the ball with a racket and tried hard to balance the ball on our racket without it toppling off!

Next week is going to be very hot, so please remember sun hats and sun cream. We will ensure the children drink plenty and remain hydrated.

On Monday, I am on a course all day so Mrs Townsend and Miss Lloyd will be working with the Zebras. I will look forward to seeing everyone again on Tuesday.

Mrs Rockey :-)
