Bubbles and Sketching

Welcome back!

Term 4 is here which means summer is on it's way! Those lovely light mornings and lazy evenings playing in the park.

Here are the photos from the end of term celebration event with the wonderful bubbleman. The children had the most amazing time and really enjoyed his show.

This week we have been back to work. In maths we are looking at counting in 5s, using apparatus to help us. As part of our art topic, we are looking at the artist Henri Rousseau and his jungle pictures. The children went out and sketched the leave adding detail through stippling, smudging and different length lines. Next week they will be printing their backgrounds.

This week see us saying goodbye to Miss Smith our student as she returns to her school in Bath but we welcome Miss Griffin who will be in Firefly class until June. 

Next Week Mrs Russam will be in class Monday - Wednesday and Mrs Ibbeken Thursday and Friday. I look forward to seeing you all at parents evening.
