The Three Billy Goats Gruff-Whose that Trip Trapping Over my Bridge!
The children have thoroughly enjoyed reading the story of the Three Billy Goats Gruff. They have learnt the story off by heart and enjoy saying ‘Whose That Trip Trapping Over my Bridge’ in different voices. In Drawing Club this week, the children have learnt some new words Elaborate, Collaborate, Navigate, Suspicious, Hullabaloo, Flummoxed, Compare and Absorbent. We have put actions to all the words- see if your child can remember any of them?
In Maths this week, we have been learning about pairs of numbers and can talk about whether a number is odd or even. We have also been looking at doubles and have been enjoying listening to the song ‘Mr Double Trouble’. Wallabies have also been learning how subitising can help fund the total of two numbers.
In our topic this week, we have been looking at different materials and thinking about what they feel like? We have also been practicing our cutting skills, made trolls and musical instruments. The children have worked so hard and had lots of fun at the same time.
Next week is our last week of school before the half term holidays.
