Tasty Treats!!
If your child has come home buzzing about London then the reason is all because of our English topic. It leads on from us exploring the UK and for the next 2 weeks there is a huge focus on London. We have been looking at the different landmarks, bridges and looking at the general hustle and bustle of the city. This will lead us on to writing a non-chronological report. You can find a video of the book here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r9bn8798SyY
DT has been incredibly exciting. We have been looking at different recipes and had to follow one to make our own playdough! We had to make sure that we followed everything correctly. It was great fun. Then the whole class had a go at making a tasty treat from around the UK. Giraffe class made shortbread from Scotland, however we were also able to taste Welsh cakes from Wales, scones from England and fifteens from Northern Ireland. We had to think about hygiene and washing our hands and tying back our long hair.
Just a reminder that Giraffe class swim on a Tuesday so need to come to school in their PE kits.
Next week….
