SS Great Britain
This week has all been about the wonderful school trip.
Visiting the SS Great Britain always brings the History topic alive. The children had a wonderful time exploring the ship and seeing first hand Brunel’s achievements. We had a look at the food the passengers ate, how it was prepared in the kitchen and the very fancy dining room.
We could see where people slept and how small the cabins were, even if you were in first class! The highlight had to be going underneath the ship to see exactly how big it really was. We are going to take all of this learning back into school to help us finish off our topic.
As always, the children were on their best behaviour and were an absolute credit to the school. We are already looking forward to our next trip!
