Perching Pandas at the Panto!

What a wonderful week we've had in Panda Class! 

It began with the arrival of a kindness elf, who the children chose to name Snowy.  Snowy has been getting up to mischief at night, hiding around the classroom, but also leaving letters for us to read.

On Tuesday, we had the most wonderful trip to Salisbury Playhouse to watch Sleeping Beauty.  The children were perched on the edge of their seats, enthralled by the performance.  It was wonderful to see them enjoying the performance so much, and joining in with the performance.  

They all behaved beautifully throughout the day - a real credit to themselves and the school!

In school, we have started a new topic in DT, learning about mechanisms which they will then use when making a card with moving parts by the end of the topic.

The children have also been using their history knowledge and what they learned while visiting the SS Great Britain, to do some fabulous writing in English, creating a leaflet to persuade people to visit.

We've also been working hard practising the songs and lines for our Christmas play... and can't wait for you to come and see us shine on stage in the last week of term!
