Maps and Maths for Glow Worms

This week was another short week for us with the Bank Holiday Monday but we still completed lots of learning!

We continued our work in Geography to locate our school using the Ipads and Google Maps. The children had a go at finding the school and recognising places nearby. We looked at what maps were and the symbols maps use to make them easy to read.

In maths, we have been learning how to share amounts into equal groups. The children used counters to find different ways of sharing a number into equal groups before answering problems that involved sharing. The children drew circles and counted out one at a time before identifying how many were in each circle.

In lifeskills, we are looking at 'Being My Best' and this has included eating well, having good hygiene routines and, this week, focusing on how we can stop the spread of diseases. We used 'Catch it, Bin it, Kill it' as an example and we made our own posters to encourage others to help stop the spread too!

We look forward to a full week next week.
