Honeybees Friday 24th January 2024

We have had a great week in Honeybee Class learning all about The Three Little Pigs. The children have enjoyed acting out parts of the story as either the wolf or a pig, they have made masks, parts of the story using playdough, bricks and straw and sequenced the story using picture cards. The children have become really confident with retelling the story.

In math's this week Honeybee Class have been continuing to build on their understanding of representing numbers in a range of different ways. The children used bricks, Numicon, dabbers and playdough to carefully count out the totals 6,7 and 8. They enjoyed completing challenge mats where they had to make a total in different ways.

In addition to this we have seen the children really enjoy playing alongside each other, share equipment, turn take and help each other. All of the children are becoming quite the experts at all sitting together and waiting their turn to choose a song during our rhyme time, they are patient and join in well with the actions and singing. We are really proud of them all. Well done Honeybee's!

Important Information:

Please can we ask that your child has a spare set of clothes including socks in school each day. The children enjoy playing outside but this can lead to them being wet (even when wearing school waterproof suites/aprons) and we are running really low on spare clothes. Thank you.

Please ensure reading books and reading diaries are in school on a Friday so we can change the children's books.
