Honeybees - Friday 17th January 2025

'Run run as fast as you can, you can't catch me I'm the Gingerbread Man,' has been the main theme this week. The children have enjoyed learning the traditional tale of The Gingerbread Man. They have learnt to tell parts of the story, name all the characters in the story and had great fun making their own gingerbread men from playdough, paints and sequins.

In addition to this, on Tuesday the children took part in a dance workshop with a Gingerbread Man theme involving lots of sensory exploration. They had a wonderful time touching, looking and listening to a variety of stimuli.

Math's this week has seen us focus on the number zero and what this really means. The children looked at the difference between zero and other numbers and we linked this in with the phrase, 'all gone,' and looked at this practically in our play. The children showed they were really secure with their understanding. Well done Honeybees!
