Honeybee Class - Friday 6th December

We have had a busy week in Honeybee Class with our focus text being Stickman by Julia Donaldson. The children have enjoyed retelling the story, making stick men of their own using playdough and loose parts, as well as looking closely at the character to create a similar image using card. The children listened well and joined in with repeated parts of the story. We have quite the story tellers in Honeybee Class.

We were also very excited to start our week with a visit from the kindness elf. He has been very proud of the children this week as he has spotted lots of kindness between our children, sharing and turn taking.

In math's this week we have been consolidating all our learning this term about number, the number system and counting accurately. The children have shown they have remembered how to count amounts accurately and are using their counting skills in their play which is fantastic to see.

In our religious education sessions this week we have thought about the story of The First Christmas and why this is an important time of year for Christians. We have talked about how you may celebrate Christmas as a Christian and also what the children are looking forward to about Christmas. In addition to this, rehearsals for our Christmas play are in full swing. I am very proud of how well the children have joined and tried so hard to remember the songs. Well done Honeybee's!

Thursday 19th December (Last day of term) - 2pm Christmas play performance followed by Christmas fayre.
