Halfway!

It is hard to believe that we are now halfway through the term. It is flying and so are the children. We have spoken a lot this week about choices we are able to make and how they can be both good and bad. It has been interesting to see the difference when were make good, positive choices.

This week we have been writing in the role of Jamina from the story “The Hunter”. We used some drama techniques to get into role and sequence the story. Our writing was beautiful and we have really thought about adding in all those skills we have been taught.

We have finished our topic looking at Kenya and the children have been writing fact sheets and then they had a go at making some of the animals from the Big Five from playdough. It’s been lovely to see how much they have taken on board through the topic. Next week we start our DT sewing, are you able to help on TUESDAY 14th MAY at 1.30 with threading needles and our running stich?

In Math, we have been investigating fractions, Year 1 have been identifying a half and Year 2 have looked at ½, ¼ and 1/3. We have been drawing and recording our answers.

Have a super weekend and enjoy the extra day off!
