A chilly, busy week!
It's been a little strange in Panda Class this week, with lots of children feeling poorly at the beginning of the week... but those of us who were there did lots of lovely learning, and it was great to see more children join us again, feeling better, as the week went on!
Everyone who has been in this week has found out the part that they will have in our Christmas Play later in the term and we have started to practice all of the songs that we will be singing. It's sounding great already - so we know you're going to love it when you finally get to see them up on the stage just before the Christmas holidays.
In Maths this week, we have been continuing to learn about Place Value. We looked at finding one more and one less than numbers, we have been comparing numbers, using inequality symbols and ordering numbers. The children used apparatus to help them show their understanding.
In our indoor PE lesson, we were thinking about balancing and the children enjoyed taking part in a range of different balancing activities - some of them were quite tricky!
We started using an app called Scratch in our computing lesson this week. In this first exploring lesson, it was great to see the children using the app and making their character move. The Year 2 children have used this program in computing last year - and it was lovely to see them supporting the Year 1s as they used it for the first time.
We hope everyone enjoyed the trip to SS Great Britain on Friday and has a lovely weekend. Hopefully the stormy weather that is forecast wont be too bad and you can get out and enjoy some nice family time together.
