Westbury Walk!
What another lovely week in Giraffe Class, they are certainly flying by.
This week we have begun looking at a new text call ‘Windows’. It shows how views change over time. It has no words so we are going to be making our own class book by writing our own text. You can find a copy of the book here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SOayRlGBq1E
In Maths, we have continued with our fraction work, the children have really excelled at finding quarters and explaining how they have done this. They have been using shapes and apparatus to support their learning.
The highlight of the week had to be our walk around Westbury. We have been looking out for different landmarks and investigating what makes Westbury so wonderful. We have then used this to help us make the different landmarks out of the materials we have in the classroom and use our geographical language to describe where they are.
Next week Sports Day takes place on Wednesday, you will have received a letter outlining the arrangements for the afternoon. It will be great to see you to support the children.
School finished at the usual time next Friday and we return to school on Monday 2nd June.
Have a great weekend.
