Honeybees Friday 14th March 2025

What a fabulous week we have had in Honeybee Class!

Our learning has centered around the story The Tiger Who Came to Tea by Judith Kerr. We have really enjoyed the story and remembered it well. The children had lots of fun learning facts about tigers, creating their own tiger pictures, exploring repeated colour patterns and making their very own tiger stripe patterns. In addition to this, linked to the story, we discussed parties, if we have ever been to one or invited others to one. We talked about what we enjoy about parties and had a lovely time playing party games.

In math's we have, as mentioned last week, focused on subitising. The children are becoming more confident at looking at an arrangement of dots, toys, pebbles and spots and saying the amount without having to count them individually. Well done Honeybees!

In our music sessions this week the children enjoyed playing shakers to a beat. The children listened very carefully to the music and stopped when the music stopped. In PE the children continued to improve their gross motor skills and coordination attempting climbing up and under apparatus carefully and in a controlled manner.
