Honeybee Class Friday 4th April 2025

What a lovely week we have had in Honeybee Class enjoying the sunshine!

We started our week with a new story called The Disgusting Sandwich written by Gareth Edwards. The story involves a badger who spots a very delicious looking sandwich that a little girl has at the park and he decides he would like to eat it. However, the girl drops it and it then ends up landing in lots of very disgusting places. The children enjoyed this story a lot and had lots of fun thinking of their very own disgusting sandwich fillings including mud, oozy grey and green slime.

In math's this week we have been consolidating our learning and understanding of number. We have practiced accurately counting out totals to 10, making totals and counting on from a given number. The children are showing a greater understanding and confidence when given problems to solve. Well done Honeybees!

On Tuesday we took a walk to All Saints Church in Westbury for our Easter celebrations. The children were fantastic and enjoyed singing along to familiar songs such as Little Peter Rabbit and The Bunny Cokey.

On Thursday we invited our parents in to join in with our sensory story time. We really enjoyed using our senses to experience the story The Very Hungry Caterpillar. The children ate, smelt, touched and watched a variety of different parts of the story. They were great story tellers and were very excited to share this experience with their parents. Thank you to our parents that were able to join us this time.

We finished our week with easter craft such as Easter card making and an Easter egg hunt. The children were very excited to have a visit from the Easter Bunny who had a special delivery of eggs for our children.

Have a wonderful Easter break everybody. We look forward to welcoming you back for Term 5 on Tuesday 22nd April.
