What a Wonderful Week!

This week in Honeybee Class we have been busy exploring the wonderful world of toys – and what a joyful week it has been!

Our sensory story, My Favourite Toys, captured the children’s imaginations beautifully. They explored the objects in the story using all their senses and amazed us with their concentration, curiosity, and enthusiasm. It was such a delight to see how engaged they were.

We then began thinking about our own favourite toys – what we enjoy playing with at home and the special things we like to play with at school. The children spent lots of time exploring and sharing toys with their friends, showing kindness, turn-taking, and growing friendships. Watching these bonds blossom has been a real highlight for us this week.

In maths, the children shone as they learnt to sort and organise data into categories, including colours, shapes, and numbers. Their confidence grew with every activity, and it was wonderful to see their pride as they succeeded.

Our topic work has been full of colour! We’ve been carefully choosing the right colours for our paintings and using our colour-mixing skills to create exactly the shades we wanted. The children showed such creativity and focus.

In PE, we have been practising moving our bodies in a controlled way – hopping, jumping, walking, and running. The children listened so well and tried their very best.

The biggest highlight of all has been seeing how beautifully the children are playing together – sharing, laughing, and showing such care for one another. We are so proud of the children and all they have achieved this week.

Well done, Honeybee Class – what a super week we’ve had!
