Fun in the Sun!
What a lovely short week we have had. The children are wonderful at the moment and are showing such kindness and compassion towards each other. It is an absolute joy to see. We have spent time talking about our learning and how we sometimes need to make mistakes to help us. Often, we have to keep trying to get things right.
For English this week, we have been looking at instruction writing and what a rabbit needs to survive. We have been amazing at this as the children have worked so hard with their writing.
In maths we have begun looking at fractions, we revised making equal and unequal groups before moving on to look at find ½ of shapes and different objects.
Topic has seen us start a new unit as geographers and looking at our local area. We started by thinking about the landmarks we saw around Westbury and on our way to school. The children have had a go at recreating them using things they found in the classroom. We have also been playing a Jewish game od dreidel. It was great fun!
Next week we will be going for a walk around Westbury on Wednesday, this means we will be moving our PE day to Tuesday.
Next Week
