Friday 28th March
On Tuesday, we went on our trip to Warminster Park. It was so exciting catching the train to Warminster and we had a lovely time at the park.
When we arrived, we spent some time walking around the lake looking for wild plants, garden plants, deciduous and evergreen trees. We were all able to spot the different types of plants and we also got to see some swans, ducks and geese too.
Then we became park keepers and helped to clear out the weeds from the flower beds. Once we had cleared the beds, we then sowed some wild flowers by sprinkling them over the beds. We had to be careful though as the wind kept trying to scatter them onto the grass.
After lunch, we had a play in the park. There were so many lovely things to go on such as the swings, slides, roundabouts and even a trampoline - we all had a great time!
Those of us who stayed at school also had a great day. We made our own train tickets and took a virtual tour on a train. We then went around the school grounds looking for wild and garden plants and deciduous and evergreen trees. We took some bark rubbings from the different trees and spent some time in the sensory garden. Once we had finished looking for plants, we had a long play on the Trim Trail and adventure playground. In the afternoon, we did some painting before our friends arrived back from the trip.
