Friday 26th September
We’ve had such a lovely week in Bumblebee Class, full of learning, creativity and fun!
In Maths, we’ve been busy comparing numbers. The children have enjoyed using cubes and Base 10 to help them understand what makes a number bigger or smaller. We’ve been learning how to use the symbols <, >, and = to compare numbers and have even been ordering numbers from smallest to largest. It’s been fantastic to see everyone growing in confidence with their number work!
In Drawing Club, we’ve been diving into the brilliant book Would You Rather? by John Burningham. It’s sparked some fantastic discussions and wonderful creativity. Our star words this week are:
⭐ embarrassed
⭐ boiling
⭐ freezing
⭐ revolting
⭐ decision
⭐ brave
We’ve used the story to inspire our drawings of scary houses, revolting food, and unusual creatures – the imagination on display has been amazing!
In Geography, we’ve been exploring our school environment and the local area. We’ve been learning to spot the difference between human features (like buildings and roads) and physical features (like trees and hills). The children have been really good at working together and spotting the difference between the two.
It’s been a fun-filled week of curiosity, creativity, and discovery across all areas of learning. We can’t wait to see what next week brings!
Have a restful weekend!
