Friday 16th May 2025 - Honeybees

What a fantastic week we have had exploring all things dinosaurs!

Our learning this week has been based on the story 10 Little Dinosaurs by Mike Brownlow. The children have really enjoyed being part of the story and joining in with repeated phrases, looking carefully at the pictures and discussing what they see as well as counting the amount of dinosaurs left at each stage of the story. In addition to this the children have been challenged to make structures to balancing the dinosaurs on to keep them safe and draw pictures from the story. The children joined in with lots of very fun dinosaur themed Attention Bucket sessions and demonstrated great listening and attention skills.

In math's the children have been focusing on addition. They are becoming more familiar with the term addition and have been using a range of equipment this week to practice adding two groups together to make a new total.

Music has been a firm favourite this week as the children took part in a dinosaur stomp. They were learning to listen, find the beat and join in. They used wooden claves, drums and tambourines to find the beat. We have fantastic musicians in Honeybee Class!

In PE this week the children continued to practice learning the skills needed for the activities for Sports Day. They are really looking forward to taking part.

Well done Honeybee Class! Have a wonderful weekend all.
