We've had a fantastic week in Bumblebee Class, full of creativity, learning, and exploration!

In Drawing Club, we delved into the magical story Bog Baby. It was wonderful to see the children using their imaginations — they painted beautiful scenes of the magical pond in Bluebell Wood, sculpted their own bog babies out of playdough, and even created cosy little homes for them using pizza boxes! Our star words this week were:

release
miserable
responsibility
delicate
forbidden
creature

In Maths, we’ve been busy sorting, counting, and representing objects using counters and pictures and then using our skills to help us solve problems. It’s been great to see everyone growing in confidence with these early number skills.

We wrapped up our History topic by reflecting on how we’ve grown and changed over time — the children enjoyed sharing baby photos and talking about how they have changed. Meanwhile, in Science, we began our new topic, all about humans, by labelling parts of the body and exploring our five senses.

In Computing, we started thinking about what "IT" (Information Technology) means. We had some great discussions and worked together to sort objects into IT and Not IT categories.

We’ve also had lots of fun exploring and playing together in our sensory trays — sharing resources beautifully while fishing at Bluebell Pond, looking for worms in the soil, and experimenting with the light box.

Well done, Bumblebees — a brilliant week of learning!
