Welcome Giraffe Class

Hello and Happy New Year!

This is our first blog post of the year. The page will be updated every Friday to share our wonderful learning with you and keep you informed of any important news. Please also remember to check the school website regularly—it’s a great source of information for newsletters, key dates, and lunch menus.

Welcome back to our returning families, and a warm hello to our new parents. It has been so lovely to meet those people who have come and introduced themselves and if I haven’t had the chance to speak with you yet, please do pop over and say hello.

The children have settled in beautifully. This week, we have focused on establishing classroom and school routines. They have been introduced to their new RWI teachers and are excited to begin properly on Monday. Together, they’ve been exploring the classroom, making new friends, and showing us everything they can do. The children have truly impressed all of the adults working in Giraffe Class.

An exciting change for this year is that all children will bring their reading book and reading record home in a clear folder. This helps protect the books, which are costly to replace. Please ensure that folders come to school every day and are placed in the classroom basket. Children will receive their new reading books next Friday.

Just a reminder that the children do not need to bring drinks bottles into school. They have access to drinking water throughout the day.

  • Tuesdays – Mrs. Millard and Indoor PE
  • Wednesdays – Library
  • Fridays – Outdoor PE
