Bouncing Beetles!

On Tuesday this week we had a great, active day.

We had a dance session in the morning led my Jim from Real PE. This was a fantastic was to help us move, express ourselves and create sequences at our own level of ability.

In the afternoon, Mr Widger came to run the Mini Leaders course. This was a fantastic session that helped us to think about how we can stay active. We thought about the games we play in school and why we like them.

"I like duck duck goose because I like to chase people and be chased."

"My favourite game is volcanoes and craters because I like to try and win."

"I like playing zombies with my friends because we laugh lots."

We worked in teams to play and create games. It was wonderful to see the children taking on a variety of roles in order to work as a team and learn based on their own interests and strengths.

"I am in charge of kit so I have to get the equipment that we need for our game and make sure everyone is using it properly and looking after it."

"I am in charge of rules so I can make the game harder or easier if I want to make up a new rule."

"I am the leader so I have the idea for the game and tell everyone what to do."

"I am the score keeper so I know that no one is cheating and I get to say who is winning."
